Noshi Gold

Mizuhiki Ribbons make a gift-wrapped package something special. Each ribbon has a double-stick padded tape on the back that allows you to firmly attach it to any gift-wrapped package.

Mizuhiki ribbons, and the twine from which it is made, have a long traditional history with the Japanese culture. Mizuhiki translates to English as "connection" or "tying" and signifies the togetherness and affection you are trying to convey with your gift.

The actual twine is also called Mizuhiki, and its special properties come from the Washi paper used to make the twine. By stripping the inner bark of the mitsumata, kozo, and gampi bushes and twisting together the unusually long fibers, the Japanese make their famous Washi paper, noted as the strongest paper in the world.

This twine is dyed, dried, and twisted into decorative shapes such as cranes, butterflies, loops, and flowers.

Please note the number of ribbons in the clear plastic bag varies from product to product to keep the total price the same. For example, the White Cranes are very complex and come 3 to a package, while the Pink Loops are easier to manufacture and come 10 to a package.
